About This Treatment
Cold is incredibly beneficial in facials for clients with sensitive skin or rosacea because it helps calm and protect the skin rather than triggering inflammation. For rosacea-prone skin, where blood vessels dilate easily, this helps visibly reduce redness and calm flare-ups. Soothes Inflammation-Sensitive and rosacea skin types often deal with irritation, warmth, and swelling. Cooling tools and products help bring down inflammation, offering immediate comfort and relief. Strengthens the Skin Barrier-Cold can help reduce irritation during a facial by minimizing the skin’s reactivity to products and touch. This is especially important for skin that becomes easily overwhelmed. Decreases Sensitivity-A cool environment helps numb overly sensitive nerve endings in the skin, which reduces stinging or burning sensations during treatment. Helps Products Absorb Gently-Cooling the skin can enhance product penetration while keeping the skin calm, making the facial both effective and soothing without overstimulation.
How It Works
Skin analysis
We assess the current state of your skin — noting the depth of lines, firmness, texture, and hydration. Products and techniques are chosen accordingly.
Pre cleanse
An oil or cream based cleanser is used to remove makeup, oil, sunscreen and environmental debris from the skin.
Deep cleanse
A second cleanser targeted to your skin type is used.
Exfoliation
A gentle exfoliant dissolves dead skin cells without abrasion — softening fine lines at the surface and preparing the skin for maximum product absorption.
LED Therapy
A LED panel is positioned over your face. The light stays on your skin for 10 minutes.
Hand and arm massage
While you are getting your LED therapy, I will give a relaxing hand and arm massage.
Facial massage
We use specific massage techniques — including lymphatic drainage strokes — to boost circulation, reduce puffiness, and improve skin tone and firmness.
Mask
These professional masks deliver intense active ingredients while creating a seal that drives hydration and peptides deep into the skin.
Décolleté, shoulder, neck, and scalp massage
While your mask is setting you will get a 10 minute décolleté, shoulder, neck, and scalp massage is a relaxing massage that helps relieve tension, improve circulation, and enhance relaxation while also benefiting the skin in those areas.
Finishing
Toner, targeted serum, moisturizer, SPF and lip moisturizer complete the treatment. You leave with a full, layered skincare routine applied by a professional.
What You Can Expect
Before Your Visit
- Arrive with a clean face if possible, or we'll cleanse for you.
- Avoid active exfoliants (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 3–5 days before your facial.
- If you have skin conditions, let us know at booking.
- Avoid waxing or other facial treatments within 1 week of your facial.
After Your Visit
- Your skin may be pink and more radiant immediately after — this is normal and settles within hours.
- Avoid heavy makeup for at least 6–12 hours after your facial to let skin breathe.
- Do not use active exfoliants (retinol, AHAs, BHAs) for 48–72 hours after your appointment.
- Wear SPF 30+ every day — freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive to UV damage.
- Drink plenty of water to support hydration and lymphatic drainage.
- Change your pillowcase before going to bed so your freshly cleansed face rests on a clean surface rather than a pillowcase that may have accumulated dirt, oils, and bacteria.
