About This Treatment

High-frequency treatment uses a glass electrode that produces an alternating current at 100,000–250,000 Hz. When applied to the skin, this current creates a mild ozone effect at the point of contact — the ozone kills acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes) on contact, stimulates circulation, and produces a mild warming effect that reduces inflammation and speeds healing. It's a staple tool in professional acne management and one of the most effective targeted additions to a facial.

How It Works

1

Selection

During your consultation, we'll recommend the most beneficial add-on for your current skin concerns — whether that's brightening, clearing, hydrating, or lifting.

2

Integration

Add-ons are typically performed after extractions and before the mask stage of your facial, at the point where skin is most receptive to active treatments.

3

Treatment

The add-on is applied with the appropriate technique — energy-based devices, manual tools, or active serums — for 15–25 minutes depending on the treatment.

4

Completion

The facial continues to its normal conclusion, with any products chosen to complement and enhance the add-on benefits.

What You Can Expect

Targeted treatment for specific skin concerns
Enhanced results beyond what a facial alone achieves
Professional devices and clinical-grade actives
No additional recovery time — seamlessly integrated into your appointment

Before Your Visit

  • No special preparation required for most add-ons.
  • Avoid retinol and AHAs for 5 days prior.
  • Avoid waxing the face within 1 week.

After Your Visit

  • Follow the aftercare for your full facial.
  • After microdermabrasion or chemical peel, avoid direct sun exposure for 48 hours and apply SPF 30+ daily.
  • After LED light therapy, no special aftercare is needed — skin is unaffected externally.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some add-ons (LED light therapy, dermaplane, high-frequency) can be booked as standalone treatments. Others are most effective integrated into a facial. Let us know your goals and we'll advise the best booking.
No. Microdermabrasion uses fine crystals or a diamond-tip to abrade the skin surface. Dermaplaning uses a sterile surgical blade to manually remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz. Both exfoliate but via different mechanisms.
A mild tingling or warmth is normal. Our peels are professional strength but not aggressive — you will not experience peeling or downtime from a mild peel. We do not offer deep peels.

You're in Good Hands

All energy-based devices (LED panels, high-frequency wands) are cleaned and disinfected between every client.
