About This Treatment
High-frequency treatment uses a glass electrode that produces an alternating current at 100,000–250,000 Hz. When applied to the skin, this current creates a mild ozone effect at the point of contact — the ozone kills acne-causing bacteria (P. acnes) on contact, stimulates circulation, and produces a mild warming effect that reduces inflammation and speeds healing. What You Can Expect
Before Your Visit
- No special preparation required for most add-ons.
- Avoid retinol and AHAs for 5 days prior.
- Avoid waxing the face within 1 week.
After Your Visit
- Follow the aftercare for your full facial.
- After microdermabrasion or chemical peel, avoid direct sun exposure for 48 hours and apply SPF 30+ daily.
- After LED light therapy, no special aftercare is needed — skin is unaffected externally.
